Lina is a close family friend of both Maria’s and the Useche family; those bonds mean a great deal to Maria. They met as girls and then over the years again reconnected over holiday trips to Florida with the Useches.

Sasha is a close family friend of both Maria’s and the Useche family; those bonds mean a great deal to Maria. Their relationship began when Maria was thirteen and Sasha was about five, first in a babysitter-type role. Over the years Maria was struck by how time had passed, she has watched Sasha grow into an enigmatic, intelligent, outspoken young woman. Maria is immensely proud of Sasha’s dedication to her medical studies and she loves her presence, her style, her beauty, her warmth, and her radiant smile.

Karen is Brandon’s mother. From their first meeting, Maria was struck by how naturally they connected over the arts, fashion, beauty, and dance all these shared passions that revealed a kindred spirit. They have enjoyed lots of fun moments like birthdays, christmases, and shopping for dresses when they got to have moments only for the girls. Karen’s warmth, kindness, and steady support have blossomed into a close, trusted friendship with Maria, creating a loving bond they both cherish.

Megan is Brandon’s cousin and one of the most caring and honest people Maria has ever met. When Maria first met Megan and her beautiful dog, Apollo, she immediately saw Megan’s natural instinct to care for others. Confident, warm, and quick with a laugh, Megan’s kindness and grounded humor have been a newfound support in Maria’s life. Maria is proud to call her cousin and friend.

Samanta is Maria’s cousin, she remembers babysitting her as a well-behaved toddler and playing pretend games of Mary Poppins. Samanta is driven and aspirational. She completed double majors at Johns Hopkins and pursues mountain climbing and other physical challenges regularly. Her mental toughness, paired with quiet confidence make her an inspiring source in Maria’s life.

Sofia is Maria’s cousin and has been part of her life since childhood. Maria remembers the tiny baby who would "sing opera". Now a bright-eyed, intelligent young woman, Sofia is wise beyond her years and destined for national success. A true renaissance girl, she combines beauty, academic distinction, athleticism, and quick wit; her thoughtful conversation and warm presence make her a pleasure to be around.

Maria’s mother is a devoted, warm-hearted presence in everyone’s life you can call her a spiritualist, a trusted friend, and a steadfast supporter of all things exciting and bright.  She is curious, joyful, and remarkably kind, raising three children who remain close and loving toward one another. An intelligent technologist, she inspired Maria’s path into technology through her encouragement and example.

Maria’s grandmother and family matriarch. Now 80, she still lights up a room with her smile and youthful presence. Raised with very little, Cenith worked tirelessly to raise three daughters and provide a better life for her grandchildren her strength, kindness, and quiet determination inspire us every day.

Bridesmaids and Wedding Party

Dress code is business/cocktail attire (nice dresses or pants for women, and nice pants, shirts, sports coats for men; no tie required). The couple is hoping for an elevated vibe without being stuffy (for that evening).

Getting Around - Driving distances and timesAirport → Venue: 15 miles, about 19 minutesAirport → Hotel: 13 miles, about 18 minutes A funny thing if it's your first time visiting Cincinnati is that the CVG airport is shared between Northern Kentucky and Ohio! But don't worry it's not that far from Downtown Cincinnati where the wedding is. Reminder to add extra time in case of traffic, these are just standard driving times.

Getting Around - Driving distances and timesAirport → Hotel: 13 miles, about 18 minutesVenue → Hotel: 1 mile, about 5 minutes The AC hotel is right in front of the Reds baseball stadium if you ever need a reference point! And theres lots of restaurants and parks around. Although keep in mind that in this area most food places close around 10 pm.

Getting Around - Driving distances and timesAirport → Venue: 15 miles, about 19 minutes Venue → Hotel: 1 mile, about 5 minutes This is our wedding venue! we'll have the ceremony and reception at the same location. The driving distance is really short between the AC Hotel and the venue, however, it is not walking distance. And the venue is at the top of a historic Cincinnati area called Mt. Adams (aka. mountain) so we'll get some great views of the city. The area around the hotel and the reds stadium is certainly walkable to get to restaurants.
